September 1994: the Lion KingThe Lion King has made a big impact on the culture of America. It brought excessive tours of plays around the country. The stage film was performed in eight languages. The Lion King was played for over a dozen years and traveled all over the world being performed ("Lion"). The video was created by Blockbuster and it was released in September 1994. The movie had an impact on pop culture because of the background music of the film. Elton John and Tim Rice's massive radio hits from the film that were aired on the radio influenced many other Broadway composers ("Lion"). The Lion King reflects centuries of classic mythology coming from the Bible to Shakespeare, most known Hamlet ("Cinema"). Today this movie is being played in 3D. After eighteen years of being released, this movie is still watched by children and adults all over the world.
March 1995: Yahoo!Yahoo! was released to the world in March 2005. It was a new updated search engine making it easier for internet search. Yahoo was a remake of the Overture search engine ("History"). Yahoo! was a small corporation with only twenty-four pioneers hired to work on the project. The headquarters was created in Sunnyvale, California. In seventeen years the company has expanded to thirteen-thousand workers in over twenty-five countries, provinces, and territories ("N.p."). Yahoo! became a leading global brand ("N.p."). When Yahoo! was created, their plan was to create a web that can help you find yourself. It was ideally seen as a site the would mirror your passions and interests. Yahoo! was a more easily found search engine than thought of, it was know to many by "David and Jerry's Guide to the World Wide Web." ("N.p."). As Stanford students David and Jerry were searching for words in a dictionary when they discovered the word Yahoo!. This name was later adopted to their easily found search engine.
June 13, 1995: OJ Simpson Murder TrialThe double murder of Nicole Simpson and Ronald Goldman was a big event in the United States. OJ Simpson was put on trial for the murder of his ex and her boyfriend. He was know as the most famous criminal defendant in American history and so easily recognized ("The Murder"). Simpson had eleven lawyers represent him in his case and over twenty five working around the clock in the most largest prosecutor's office in the country. This murder case was the most publicized case in the history of this country ("The Murder"). This case was an easy one to follow for Americas. The ideas of jealousy and a leading cause made it easy for prosecutors to point fingers. Simpson was twelve years older than his former wife. He lost a large amount of money during his divorce with Ms. Simpson in 1992. The former couple had a daughter which gave Ms. Simpson more money for child support. The case was a nine month trial viewed by many americas. About two-thousand reporters covered the trial story. One-hundred twenty-one videos of the court case had been filmed and releases. Over eighty cable companies aired trial information to the public, and eight radio stations constantly broadcasted the changes in the trial ("The Murder"). Many newspapers, magazines, books, and articles where written as a reflection of this case. The nation watched the case for nine months waiting to hear the verdict.

February 2, 1995: Dr. Bernard A. Harris Jr.Harris was born on June 26, 1956, in Temple, Texas. Harris completes high school at Sam Houston High School in San Antonio, Texas. He went on to the University of Houston. He graduated with a bachelors in Biology. He later completed the National Research Council Fellowship at NASA Ames research Center. After completing at Ames Research Center Harris Joined Nasa as a clinical scientist ("Astronaut"). Harris joined the Russian-American space program. After hundreds of hours and millions of miles in spaces he had faced a great impact on the world ("Astronaut"). Dr. Bernard A. Harris Jr. became the first black man to walk in space. He accomplished his childhood dream ("Dr"). Harris impacted the nation making history for African-Americans. Such a big accomplishment made by such a smart intelligent person was reflected on history in 1995.
April 19, 1995: oklahoma City BombingApril 19, 1995 was a horrifying day for many Americans. A bombing took place that was unexpected and resulted in death of many americas. The Alfred P. Murray Federal Building in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma was a target that day. Timothy McVeigh was an anti-government socialist who was help responsible for this tragic event. McVeigh is a former U.S. Soldier and was once a security guard. He built a bomb made of a cocktail form fertilizer, diesel fuel, and other chemicals. The effect of the bomb was over a dozen incinerated cars, and over three-hunded damaged buildings nearby. One0hundred sixty-eight people were killed, including nineteen children. There are also over one-hundred more injuries that were not exactly accounted for. Oklahoma City Bombing was the worst terrorist attack on U.S. soil until September 11, 2001 ("Oklahoma City Bombing"History.com"). The attack was also the worst homegrown terrorism in the nation's history ("Oklahoma City Bombing." FBI.").
